Role & responsibilities
- Research current and emerging fashion trends, color forecasts, fabrics, trims, and market insights.
- Design and develop seasonal collections for women's ethnic wear.
- Prepare digital illustration, CADs, technical drawings, and detailed tech packs.
- Coordinate with merchandising, sampling, sourcing, and production teams to ensure timely product development.
- Select appropriate fabrics, prints, embellishments, embroidery techniques, and trims for each collection.
- Review and approve proto samples, fit samples, and production samples to ensure design accuracy and quality standards.
- Conduct fit sessions and implement necessary design modifications.
- Collaborate with vendors, artisans, printers, and embroidery units for fabric sourcing and product development.
- Ensure all collections align with the Rustorange brand identity, customer preferences, seasonal trends, and commercial objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and guide junior designers and the sampling team.




- Manage collection timelines and ensure timely completion of all design milestones.

Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design from NIFT.
- Minimum 03 to 06 years of hands-on experience in designing Women's Ethnic Wear.
- Strong knowledge of Indian textiles, fabrics, garment construction, embroidery techniques, print development, and surface ornamentation.
- Excellent hand sketching, illustration, and concept development skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, CorelDRAW, and MS Office.
- Solid understanding of fashion forecasting, color trends, and consumer preferences.
- Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, and team management skills.

Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
