Hardware & Firmware Engineering Trainee

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Hardware & Firmware Engineering Trainee to support the development of quantum-safe hardware and security devices. The role involves PCB design, embedded firmware, hardware assembly, testing, and product prototyping.

Key Responsibilities

Design and modify schematics and PCB layouts.
Work with microcontrollers and develop embedded firmware in C/C++.
Perform soldering, board assembly, testing and debugging.
Support hardware prototyping and component selection.
Design 3D enclosures using CAD tools.
Take prototypes from design → assembly → testing → finished product.

Required Skills

Strong fundamentals in electronics and electrical components.
Hands-on PCB design using KiCad, Altium or Eagle.
Knowledge of microcontrollers and embedded C/C++.
Practical soldering and hardware debugging skills.
Solid problem-solving and hands-on approach.
Preferred




Exposure to cybersecurity, post-quantum cryptography, quantum technology or secure hardware.
Experience with IoT, RF, cryptographic hardware or communication protocols.
Knowledge of Fusion 360, SolidWorks or FreeCAD.
Candidates who can showcase projects they have built are highly preferred.

Eligibility

Internship: Freshers/students with relevant projects or internship experience.
Full-Time: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in hardware, electronics, embedded systems or firmware.

Compensation & Growth

Monthly stipend/salary based on skills and experience. Strong-performing interns may convert to full-time roles with ESOP eligibility.
