Job Description Planning Engineer

Function: Project Planning | Business: T&D; | Location: Pan India

Job Purpose

To plan, monitor and control project activities for Transmission Line projects, ensuring timely execution, milestone achievement and effective coordination across project functions.

Key Responsibilities / KRAs
- Prepare and maintain project baseline, detailed and look-ahead schedules.
- Monitor planned vs. actual progress and track key project milestones.
- Identify delays, critical activities and project constraints; prepare recovery plans.
- Coordinate with Site Execution, Engineering, Procurement, Quality and other teams.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports/MIS.
- Track manpower, material and equipment requirements against project plans.
- Support project review meetings with progress analysis and planning inputs.




- Forecast project completion timelines and highlight potential schedule slippages.

Qualifications & Experience
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Electrical or relevant engineering discipline.
- Relevant experience in project planning, preferably Transmission Line/EPC projects.
- Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of Primavera P6 / MS Project preferred.

Required Skills
- Solid knowledge of project planning and scheduling.
- Understanding of Transmission Line execution activities.
- Good analytical, reporting and coordination skills.
- Ability to analyse delays and develop recovery plans.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
