Role & responsibilities
- Wiring Harness Design: Create and optimize wiring harness layouts, considering factors like electrical performance, space constraints, and manufacturability.
- Software Knowledge:
- Harness XC: Proficiency in using Harness XC software for harness design, routing, and documentation.
- AutoCAD: Familiarity with AutoCAD for creating detailed schematics and 2D drawings.
- SAP: Understanding of SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products) for managing project data and resources.
- VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering): Apply VAVE principles to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical designers, and project managers.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct functional and continuity tests on wire harnesses and cable assemblies.
