Job Description: Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and skilled NOC Engineer to monitor, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in network monitoring, troubleshooting, incident management, and escalation handling across LAN/WAN environments. The role requires working in a 24x7 support environment and ensuring maximum network availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network infrastructure using tools such as SolarWinds, LogicMonitor, PRTG, Nagios, or similar monitoring platforms.
- Perform proactive monitoring of routers, switches, firewalls, WAN circuits, and network services.
- Troubleshoot network incidents related to routing, switching, VPN, wireless, and firewall connectivity.
- Respond to alerts, analyze root causes, and provide timely resolutions or escalations.




- Manage incident tickets and service requests through ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for circuit outages and hardware issues.
- Perform network health checks and generate operational reports.
- Support change management activities and planned maintenance tasks.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, operational procedures, and documentation standards.
- Participate in rotational shifts and on-call support as required.

Required Skills
- Robust knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, and VPN technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, or HP networking devices.
- Experience in troubleshooting LAN/WAN and internet connectivity issues.
- Knowledge of firewall technologies such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, or Cisco ASA.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like SolarWinds, LogicMonitor, Nagios, PRTG, or Zabbix.
- Experience with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow.
- Understanding of ITIL
