Role & responsibilities
Primary Design Engineering
- Develop primary design for AIS and GIS substations from concept through detailed engineering.
- Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, equipment layouts, sections, elevations, and plot plans.
- Design outdoor switchyards and indoor GIS substations.
- Develop busbar arrangements, conductor layouts, and equipment clearances in accordance with CEA Guideline/IEC/IEEE standards.
Electrical System Design
- Perform engineering calculations for: Power transformer sizing Busbar and conductor sizing; Earthing (grounding) system design Lightning protection system design; Cable sizing and routing; Station service AC/DC systems; Battery sizing; Illumination calculations; Short-circuit withstand checks Busbar force calculations
Equipment Engineering
- Prepare technical specifications and datasheets for: Power Transformers Circuit Breakers Disconnectors & Earthing Switches Current Transformers (CTs)
Voltage Transformers (VTs/CVTs) Surge Arresters GIS/AIS equipment Neutral Grounding Equipment Busducts Station Service Transformers HV and MV cables

Technical Review & Vendor Coordination
- Review vendor drawings, datasheets, calculations, and GA drawings.
- Evaluate technical bids and prepare Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) reports.
- Resolve vendor technical queries and document deviations.
- Support procurement during equipment selection and approval
