About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated General Surgeon to join our hospital as a Visiting Consultant during morning hours. The consultant will be responsible for outpatient consultations, surgical evaluation, pre-operative assessment, performing appropriate general surgical procedures, and providing post-operative follow-up care.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct General Surgery OPD consultations during morning hours.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with general surgical conditions.
- Assess patients requiring surgical intervention and recommend appropriate treatment.
- Perform minor and major general surgical procedures as per expertise and hospital facilities.
- Conduct pre-operative evaluation and obtain informed consent.
- Coordinate with anaesthesia, nursing, laboratory, radiology, and other departments.




- Provide post-operative care and follow-up for surgical patients.
- Attend to emergency surgical consultations when required, subject to availability.
- Maintain accurate patient records, case sheets, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
- Follow hospital protocols, infection-control practices, and patient-safety standards.
- Communicate treatment plans and surgical procedures clearly to patients and their attendants.
- Participate in clinical discussions and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications
- MBBS with MS/DNB in General Surgery from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical registration.
- Previous experience as a General Surgeon preferred.
- Experience in handling OPD, emergency surgical cases, and routine surgical procedures.
- Valuable clinical judgment and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
