About the Role

We are looking for a Project Engineer Materials to support project execution by ensuring timely planning, procurement coordination, material tracking, and availability of materials for shipbuilding projects. The role requires close coordination with Project Management, Planning, Procurement, Stores, Design, Production, and Vendors to ensure uninterrupted project execution while maintaining cost, quality, and schedule compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare project-wise material requirements based on engineering drawings, BOMs, and project schedules.
- Coordinate with Design, Planning, Procurement, QA/QC, Production, and Stores to ensure timely material availability.
- Monitor procurement status, manufacturing progress, inspections, dispatch, and delivery of critical materials and equipment.
- Track long-lead items and identify potential material shortages that could impact project schedules.




- Maintain project material registers, procurement trackers, and material status reports.
- Coordinate with vendors and expediting teams to ensure adherence to delivery schedules.
- Monitor receipt, storage, issuance, and reconciliation of project materials with Stores.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, class requirements, and quality standards for procured materials.
- Support material inspection activities and coordinate with QA/QC for vendor inspections.
- Review material deviations, shortages, substitutions, and engineering change requests impacting procurement.
- Participate in project review meetings and present material procurement status, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Coordinate logistics and transportation for project materials to ensure timely delivery to the shipyard.
