Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Social Studies Teacher to teach ICSE Classes 4 and 5. The candidate should be able to make Social Studies engaging and meaningful through interactive teaching methods, activities, discussions, and age-appropriate learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities
- Teach Social Studies as per the ICSE curriculum for Classes 4 and 5.
- Prepare effective lesson plans and teaching materials.
- Explain concepts such as history, geography, civics, environment, and general social awareness in an engaging manner.
- Use activity-based, interactive, and student-centred teaching methods.
- Conduct class activities, discussions, quizzes, projects, and presentations.
- Assess students through classwork, homework, tests, assignments, and projects.
- Maintain accurate student academic records and provide regular feedback.
- Identify students who need additional academic support and provide appropriate guidance.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning setting.
- Encourage students to develop critical thinking,



communication, observation, and social awareness skills.
- Coordinate with parents and other teachers regarding students' academic progress when required.
- Participate in school events, meetings, training programmes, and co-curricular activities.
- Follow school policies, academic procedures, and professional standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Social Studies / History / Geography / related field.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teacher-training qualification preferred.
- Experience teaching ICSE Primary Classes will be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of primary-level Social Studies concepts.
- Excellent communication and classroom-management skills.
- Ability to use creative and activity-based teaching methods.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with digital teaching tools.
- Passion for teaching young learners and supporting their overall development.
