Key Responsibilities

* Conduct pre-scan assessment of patients scheduled for FDG PET-CT.

* Review patient history, clinical indications, medications, and relevant investigations before the scan.

* Assess patient fitness and provide appropriate instructions for PET-CT preparation, including fasting and blood glucose requirements.

* Monitor patients during and after FDG administration and PET-CT procedures.

* Identify and manage any immediate patient reactions or medical emergencies.

* Ensure appropriate patient monitoring and safety throughout the procedure.





* Coordinate with Nuclear Medicine Physicians, Technologists, Radiologists, and other clinical teams for smooth patient workflow.

* Provide medical support in case of emergencies within the centre.

* Maintain accurate patient records, clinical documentation, and incident reports.

* Ensure compliance with radiation safety, infection control, and clinical protocols.

* Counsel patients and attendants regarding the procedure, precautions, and post-scan instructions.

* Support quality and patient-safety initiatives at the centre.

* Participate in audits, training, and other clinical activities as required.
