Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Field Operations Management: Lead, supervise and mentor a distributed team of Technicians/Field Engineers across ILA/ROADM sites; plan manpower deployment, shift rosters, and 24x7 on-call/emergency coverage; drive performance reviews, skill development and succession planning.
- Power Systems Governance: Own the operational health of SMPS/Power Plant systems and AC & DC distribution panels across the region; set standards for load management, redundancy planning, and alarm/voltage monitoring; drive root-cause analysis for recurring power issues.
- Battery Bank Strategy: Oversee Lithium-ion battery bank health, backup testing and replacement planning across all sites; ensure SLA-defined backup (4 hrs) is consistently met; drive battery lifecycle and capacity-upgrade planning with OEMs.
- DG & AMF Fleet Management: Ensure reliable operation of the regional DG fleet and AMF panels, including auto-start performance, load testing cadence, and preventive servicing; review DG run-hour,
fuel-consumption and maintenance logs for anomalies; approve major repair and replacement decisions.
- Diesel & Fuel Governance: Own fuel budgeting, consumption benchmarking and pilferage-control measures across sites; audit fuel logs and vendor billing; implement digital fuel-monitoring where applicable.
- Preventive & Corrective Maintenance Strategy: Define and continuously improve the regional PM/CM framework, checklists and schedules for power plants, DG sets, battery banks and electrical panels; monitor CM response and SLA-restoration timelines; drive breakdown trend analysis to reduce repeat failures.
- Vendor & OEM Management: Manage OEM and third-party vendor relationships for equipment maintenance, AMC renewals and spares availability; evaluate vendor performance against SLAs; negotiate commercial terms in coordination with procurement.
