Purchase Executive

Experience

1–2 years
of experience in procurement/purchasing, preferably in the
automobile, robotics, engineering, fabrication, or machining industry
.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably
Mechanical, Chemical, or Mechatronics Engineering
.
- Candidates with relevant procurement experience in engineering industries will be preferred.

Job Summary

We are looking for a
Purchase Executive
to manage day-to-day procurement activities for engineering, robotics, machining, and fabrication requirements. The candidate should have a positive understanding of the
end-to-end procurement process
, strong negotiation skills, and sound commercial knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement of
machined components, fabricated parts, mechanical components, electrical items, hydraulic and pneumatic components, raw materials, consumables, and other engineering items
.
- Identify and evaluate suitable suppliers and develop a reliable vendor base.
- Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers.
- Negotiate




price, payment terms, delivery schedules, quality, warranty, and other commercial terms
.
- Prepare and process
Purchase Orders (POs)
based on approved requirements.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure
on-time delivery
as per project and production requirements.
- Coordinate with
Engineering, Production, Projects, Stores, Quality, and Accounts
teams for procurement-related activities.
- Review technical specifications, drawings, BOMs, and RFQs to ensure the correct items are procured.
- Evaluate vendor quotations from both
technical and commercial perspectives
.
- Maintain proper procurement records, vendor details, quotations, comparative statements, and purchase orders.
- Support vendor development, supplier evaluation, and performance monitoring.
- Identify opportunities for
cost reduction and value engineering
through alternate vendors, materials, and commercial negotiations.
