Assistant Manager Stores | Truck Parts

Role Purpose:
Responsible for end-to-end stores operations for truck parts, including receiving, storage, inventory control, material movement and line-side supply to ensure uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage receiving and inwarding of truck parts, including quantity, part number, PO and document verification.
- Coordinate GRN/MRN, incoming inspection and material acceptance with Quality.
- Ensure proper identification, tagging, binning and systematic storage of truck parts.
- Maintain FIFO, stock accuracy and complete material traceability.
- Ensure timely line-side material supply to Production and Assembly.
- Lead cycle counting and perpetual inventory activities to maintain real-time inventory accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels, safety stock and critical parts availability.
- Investigate and resolve shortages, excess, damages, rejections and inventory variances.
- Ensure accurate SAP/ERP transactions for GRN, stock transfer, material issue and inventory adjustments.




- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and system-to-physical reconciliation.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of parts to prevent damage, corrosion, deformation and quality deterioration.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase, PPC, Logistics and Suppliers for uninterrupted material flow.
- Lead 5S, space optimization, FIFO, inventory accuracy and stores process improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and review MIS, inventory, ageing, shortage and reconciliation reports.
- Supervise and guide Stores Engineers, Executives and Workmen.
- Ensure adherence to safety, SOPs, inventory controls and company stores procedures.

Preferred Experience:
7to12 years of experience in Automotive/Commercial Vehicle manufacturing Stores, preferably handling truck parts, assembly parts and production stores, with solid exposure to SAP/ERP, cycle counting, perpetual inventory and team management.
