The Sales Branch Manager is responsible for achieving the branch’s sales, profitability and customer-service targets. The role includes leading the sales team, improving walk-in conversion, controlling stock, developing local-market business and ensuring smooth daily branch operations.
1. Sales and Revenue Management
- Achieve daily, monthly and annual sales targets for gold, silver and diamond jewellery.
- Achieve product-wise weight and revenue targets.
- Monitor hourly and daily sales performance.
- Improve average bill value through cross-selling and upselling.
- Develop corrective action plans whenever targets are not achieved.
- Increase sales contribution from both new and existing customers.
2. Customer and Walk-in Management
- Ensure every customer is welcomed and attended to promptly.
- Monitor walk-ins, conversions, walkouts and customer waiting time.
- Personally handle high-value customers and difficult negotiations.
- Review walkout reasons such as price, design, weight or product unavailability.
- Ensure timely follow-up of walkouts,
enquiries and pending estimates.
- Build long-term relationships with customers and generate referrals.
3. Team Leadership
- Conduct daily morning briefings and target allocation.
- Assign individual targets based on salesperson capability and section.
- Monitor employee productivity, conversion and average bill value.
- Coach low-performing employees and prepare improvement plans.
- Conduct regular product-knowledge and selling-skills training.
- Maintain discipline, punctuality, grooming and professional behaviour.
- Motivate the sales team and build a performance-driven culture.
4. Inventory and Product Management
- Monitor section-wise stock movement and stock availability.
- Identify quick-moving, slow-moving and non-moving products.
- Recommend stock replenishment, transfer or reduction.
