We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer with strong expertise in testing data platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience validating data pipelines, backend APIs, data transformations, dashboards, and platform-level workflows with a robust understanding of Azure Synapse, Data Warehouse, and medallion architecture.
This role involves ensuring data accuracy, integrity, performance, security, and end-to-end quality across the platform.
Key Responsibilities
1. Test Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for:
- Data pipelines and ETL workflows
- Backend APIs
- Frontend portals and reporting interfaces
2. ETL & Data Integrity Validation
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to:
- ETL data accuracy and integrity
- Data performance bottlenecks
- Scalability concerns across data workloads
- Work extensively on the Azure Synapse data platform, Data Warehouse layers, and medallion architecture.
3. Workflow & Onboarding Validation
- Validate data ingestion, transformation,
and reporting workflows for new client onboarding.
- Ensure smooth end-to-end flow from source ingestion to reporting/analytics.
4. Dashboard & Analytics Testing
- Verify that dashboards, KPIs, and analytics views reflect accurate, consistent, and up-to-date data.
- Collaborate with BI/reporting teams for UI/UX and data validation.
5. Security & Access Control Testing
- Test platform roles, permissions, and access controls for:
- Authorization accuracy
- Compliance and data governance requirements
- Role-based access across tools and datasets
6. Test Automation
- Design and maintain automated test suites for:
- Regression testing
- Functional and integration testing
- API and data pipeline verification
- Contribute to continuous testing pipelines within CI/CD environments.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in data platform testing, ETL validation, and pipeline quality assurance.
- Hands-on
