Role & responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
- Manage a portfolio of client accounts with minimal supervision
- Multi-task across several client engagements and deadlines simultaneously
- Work within a fully cloud-based, paperless environment
- Apply working knowledge of bookkeeping platforms (QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online) to support client tax preparation
- Handle tax matters involving S Corporations, international (US/Canada) tax considerations, real estate tax law (including 1031 exchanges), and stock options
- Collaborate with firm leadership and other staff to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant tax filings
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax law changes and regulatory requirements

Preferred candidate profile
- Minimum of 8 years of tax preparation experience within a CPA firm




- Required: Hands-on experience with CCH Axcess tax preparation software
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal oversight
- Strong technical/computer proficiency comfortable accessing cloud-based systems and working in a fully paperless setting
- CPA license preferred, but not required
- International tax knowledge (US/Canada)
- Real estate tax law experience, including 1031 exchanges
- Experience with stock options taxation
- Substantial experience working with S Corporations
