This role is part of a large-scale integration platform transformation, where APIs are a key integration pattern across multiple systems and business domains. The API Tech Lead will guide design, development, and implementation of APIs on AWS, working closely with architects and integration teams.
The role becomes critical during the early program waves, supporting API modernization, ensuring consistent design patterns, and enabling reliable, scalable services. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive API standards, ensure performance, and support seamless system integration in a cloud-native setting.

Required Skills Competencies
- Strong experience in API design and development (RESTful services)
- Experience with AWS services (API Gateway, Lambda, integration patterns)
- Good understanding of microservices architecture and integration concepts
- Experience in enterprise integration environments
- Strong problem-solving and technical leadership skills

Good-to-Have
- Exposure to event-driven and messaging-based integration patterns




- Experience with Spring Boot/microservices frameworks
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Understanding of security and API management concepts
- Experience in large transformation or modernization programs preferred

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
- 6-10 years of overall IT experience with strong API/integration background

API Design Development
- Lead design and development of REST APIs and integration services
- Define API structures, contracts, and best practices for scalable implementations
- Ensure consistency in API design patterns across teams

Technology Leadership
- Provide technical guidance to development teams for API implementation
- Support adoption of AWS-native integration services and modern architectures
- Review code and ensure adherence to design standards

Integration Enablement
- Build APIs to support enterprise integrations across
