Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain API automation frameworks using REST Assured and Java.
- Create and execute test cases for RESTful APIs.
- Validate API responses, request payloads, headers, authentication, and error handling.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end API testing.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements.
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Report, track, and verify defects using tools such as Jira.
- Analyze test results and provide quality metrics.
- Support performance and security testing initiatives when required.

Required Skills
- Solid experience in API Testing.
- Hands-on expertise with REST Assured.
- Proficiency in Java.
- Good understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, JSON, XML.
- Experience with TestNG or JUnit.




- Knowledge of API tools such as Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Strong debugging and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Understanding of performance testing tools like JMeter.
- Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.

Experience
- 3-8 years of experience in QA Automation with a focus on API testing.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing REST Assured automation frameworks.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
