The Sr. Executive - UK Accounts is responsible for preparing statutory financial statements, performing VAT and payroll reconciliations, and supporting UK clients with year-end accounting, tax computations, and day-to-day communication. The role requires solid knowledge of UK accounting principles, FSection 1A and Fdisclosures, VAT schemes, and control account reconciliations. The Executive also contributes to team training, process accuracy, and turnaround time compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparation of UK Financial Statements: Prepare Balance Sheet and Profit Loss Account for various types of UK companies and firms.
- Preparation of year-end accounts including control account schedules and reconciliations.
- Review final accounts for compliance with FSection 1A, Fand Companies House filing requirements.
- Perform PL variance analysis to identify unusual movements or errors.
- VAT, Payroll Compliance Work:
Prepare VAT reconciliations, VAT workings, and submissions under standard VAT schemes.
- Prepare payroll summaries and reconcile payroll control accounts.
- Understand and apply VAT rules for allowable/disallowable transactions.
- Corporation Tax Assistance: Prepare corporation tax computations, including analysis of allowable and disallowable expenses.
- Assist in reviewing tax adjustments and ensuring compliance with HMRC guidelines.
- Year-End Working Papers: Compile complete year-end working papers with supporting schedules.
- Reconcile balance sheet items such as debtors, creditors, accruals, prepayments, bank accounts, and control accounts.
- Ensure all backup documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
