About the Role
We are looking for an Assistant Manager – Payroll & HR Operations to own and manage payroll and core HR operations across our group of entities.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is strong on payroll, statutory compliances, HR audits, employee lifecycle processes, leave & attendance and HR operations, with the ability to work independently in a rapid-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management
- Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing across multiple entities.
- Validate payroll inputs including attendance, leave, new joiners, exits, increments, incentives, reimbursements and deductions.
- Conduct payroll reconciliation and ensure accuracy of payroll outputs.
- Coordinate with Finance, HR and payroll vendors for timely payroll closure.
- Manage payroll-related employee queries and ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of Full & Final settlements.
Statutory Compliance & Audits
- Manage monthly and annual statutory compliances including PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, TDS and other applicable labour compliances.
- Coordinate statutory filings, payments and documentation.
- Support internal, statutory and HR audits and ensure timely closure of audit requirements.
- Maintain compliance trackers, registers and supporting documentation.
- Stay updated on applicable labour laws and regulatory changes.
HR Operations
- Own employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, transfers, confirmations, exits and documentation.
- Manage leave and attendance processes and ensure accurate payro
