Job Description Cost Accountant (Assistant manager)

Costing, Audit & Analysis

Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance / CMA Inter / CMA / CA Inter or equivalent.

Experience: 812 years of experience in manufacturing costing, product costing, cost accounting, cost analysis or cost audit.

Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and review product costing, cost sheets and BOM-based costing.
- Analyse standard vs. actual cost and prepare material, labour and overhead variance analysis.
- Monitor RM, WIP and Finished Goods costing and inventory valuation.
- Analyse material consumption, wastage, yield and manufacturing costs.
- Conduct product-wise/customer-wise profitability and contribution analysis.
- Identify loss-making products and drive cost reduction and cost optimisation.
- Support new product costing, pricing and quotation decisions.
- Coordinate cost audit, internal audit and statutory audit requirements related to costing.
- Prepare monthly costing MIS, variance reports and management analysis.




- Handle monthly cost runs and costing activities in SAP/ERP.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cost planning.
- Coordinate with Production, SCM, Purchase, Sales/Marketing and Finance for cost-related matters.
- Guide costing team members and ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
