Description:
Looking for an HPC/Linux Systems Engineer role to support and maintain high-performance computing environments and work on complex infrastructure environments requiring deep troubleshooting and operational ownership.
Key responsibilities include:
- HPC systems issue triage and resolution
- Linux system maintenance and troubleshooting
- Monitoring systems setup and maintenance
- User communication and operational support
- ServiceNow ticket management and updates
We are looking for professionals with strong hands-on experience in:
- Linux administration (RPM-based systems)
- Kernel module compilation and low-level debugging tools such as strace, coredump, tcpdump, etc.
- Monitoring platforms including Zabbix, ELK, Grafana,
and ability to configure Splunk dashboards
- HPC hardware diagnostics, upgrades, and tuning including InfiniBand HCAs, Lustre/VAST/IBM storage systems, and Dell/HP servers
- Working effectively in environments with minimal documentation
- Experience with job schedulers such as Slurm or UGE/AGE - must have
Positive to have: Exposure to cluster management platforms like Bright Cluster Manager, xCAT, or IBM CSM
