Job Summary
Will be responsible for forecasting production, evaluating reserves, and assessing economic value. This individual will assist in asset management, deal evaluation, acquisitions, and capital redeployment across multiple basins in the U.S. Engineer will be working collaboratively with different departments such as Land, Finance, Accounting, IT, GIS, etc. on various projects and tasks
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain database of existing PDP wells
- Build reservoir models and model potential development scenarios as to associated reserves
- Maintain Engineering models
- Evaluate potential acquisitions and divestitures
Key Competencies
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent experience
- 3-5 (/5+)
years of experience in reserves, AD, or equivalent experience
- Experience in Economic Evaluations using Aries, or other engineering software
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) for internal and external project presentations
- Microsoft SQL Server (SQL), Python, and VBA knowledge
- Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Working knowledge of major U.S. basins including Permian, Williston, DJ, Eagle Ford, Appalachia and Haynesville
- Experience in AI tools such as Claude Code
