Job Summary

The Lab Assistant will be responsible for supporting the smooth and efficient functioning of the Physiotherapy Laboratory. The role involves preparing laboratory equipment and materials, assisting faculty and students during practical sessions, maintaining equipment and inventory, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards, and supporting day-to-day laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare physiotherapy laboratory equipment, instruments, models, and materials before practical classes and demonstrations.
- Assist faculty members during practical sessions, demonstrations, examinations, and other laboratory activities.
- Ensure all physiotherapy equipment and instruments are properly arranged, functional, and readily available for use.
- Maintain and operate basic physiotherapy equipment under the guidance of faculty/lab in-charge.




- Support students in the proper handling and use of laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, hygiene, and proper organization.
- Maintain records of laboratory equipment, consumables, stock, and issue/return of instruments.
- Monitor inventory levels and inform the Lab In-charge about shortages, damaged items, or equipment requiring repair/replacement.
- Assist in routine inspection, cleaning, and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Ensure proper storage and protected handling of equipment, instruments, and consumable materials.
- Follow institutional laboratory safety procedures and assist in maintaining a safe learning environment.
- Support practical examinations, workshops, seminars, demonstrations, and departmental activities.
