Education:
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Masters in Finance will be an added advantage
Experience:
• 10-12 years of progressive experience in cost control / project controls / project finance.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification
• Strong understanding of project risk management and contingency provisioning
• Experience with marine/shipbuilding cost structures and industry standards
Role Summary
The Lead Cost Controller Projects will drive end-to-end cost control across assigned projects, ensuring accurate budgeting, variance analysis, and reliable cost and cash-flow forecasting. The role requires a strong analytical and independent mindset to challenge assumptions, validate costs, and provide objective recommendations to senior management, enabling timely and informed budget approvals within a robust cost governance framework.

Technical & Functional Knowledge
1) Solid expertise in project cost control, budgeting, forecasting (EAC/ETC), variance analysis, and contingency management.
2) Sound understanding of change management and claims, including cost/time impact assessment and risk-based provisioning.
3) Ability to prepare, interpret, and challenge cash flow forecasts with clear CAPEX vs. OPEX/revenue treatment.
4) Knowledge of shipbuilding/offshore cost structures, key cost drivers, and industry benchmarks.
5) Proficiency in cost estimation methods (parametric, analogous, bottom-up) and cost baseline development and control.
