Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Structural Design Head to lead the structural design and engineering function for heavy automotive products and assemblies. The role will be responsible for driving product design, structural integrity, engineering development, design optimization, and cross-functional coordination from concept through production.

The ideal candidate should have solid experience in automotive structural design, chassis/frame-related systems, sheet metal/fabricated structures, CAD/CAE, DFM/DFA, and new product development, preferably within heavy commercial vehicles, automotive components, or heavy engineering manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design and engineering team for automotive products and assemblies.
- Develop and review structural concepts for chassis, frames, brackets, fabricated structures,



body structures, and related automotive components.
- Own design development from concept, feasibility, detailed engineering, prototyping, validation, and production release.
- Review engineering drawings, 3D models, GD&T;, specifications, and design calculations.
- Ensure designs meet applicable performance, durability, safety, manufacturability, and cost requirements.
- Drive design optimization, weight reduction, material optimization, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, procurement, R&D;, testing, and suppliers for product development and industrialization.
- Lead design reviews, technical discussions, root-cause analysis, and engineering change management.
- Ensure adherence to engineering standards, customer requirements, and applicable automotive standards.
