WJCF is looking to hire a Program Officer to oversee and coordinate the on-ground implementation of the presbyopia program across 8 districts of Chhattisgarh. The position is based in Raipur and is responsible for supervising the field team (District Coordinators and Block Coordinators), driving implementation quality, and ensuring programme objectives are met across all districts. The role requires ability to drive project delivery in close collaboration with field coordinators and government officials. The Program Officer will be responsible for effective implementation of all components of the program across the 8 project districts. Project Background
The William J.
Clinton Foundation (WJCF) aims to strengthen the public health system s readiness and capacity to expand access to presbyopia care by integrating eye screening and on-site dispensation of near vision glasses within primary healthcare settings. To advance this objective, WJCF is planning to implement decentralized presbyopia care across 8 districts of Chhattisgarh. The project will focus on generating operational learnings, implementation insights, and evidence-based approaches that can inform scalable models for state-wide adoption. As part of the initiative, WJCF will support the capacity building of healthcare workers-including primary-level staff and frontline health workers-on presbyopia identification, screening protocols, counselling, and referral pathways, thereby strengthening the delivery of comprehensive eye-care services at the primary-care level.
