Role Overview

As an Accounting & Finance Intern, you will work alongside our finance team to support client accounting and internal finance processes. This internship offers hands-on exposure to accounting workflows, reporting requirements, and financial processes used in a professional services firm supporting SMEs and startups.

You will work on real assignments under the guidance and review of experienced team members, with responsibility increasing as your capability develops.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and reviewing client accounting records, including general ledgers, trial balances and management reports
- Support month-end closing activities, including bank and account reconciliations
- Record transactions and journal entries in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks and Zoho Books
- Prepare accounting working papers, schedules and supporting documentation
- Help compile information for GST, payroll, tax and other statutory compliance work
- Support management reporting, financial analysis and other client deliverables




- Assist with internal finance processes where required
- Follow firm SOPs and client-specific requirements, with a robust focus on accuracy and completeness
- Participate in internal briefings, training and process improvement initiatives

Requirements
- Currently pursuing ACCA or CA.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; exposure to cloud accounting software is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and interest in developing practical accounting skills
- Good communication and time-management skills
- Ability to work responsibly with confidential information and deadlines
- Willingness to learn, take feedback and progressively take greater ownership of assigned work
