2. Identify root causes using 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, FMEA, DOE, 8D and CAPA methods.
3. Prepare clear FA reports covering failure mode, hypothesis, evidence, root cause, action plan and validation.
4. Coordinate FA discussions with Production, Process, Quality, Lab, Maintenance and Suppliers.
5. Analyze defects related to glass processing, chemical treatment, cleaning, polishing, handling and surface contamination.
6. Review chemical and material analysis reports such as FTIR, GCMS, SEM/EDS, ICP, titration, pH and conductivity reports.
7. Support investigation of chemical-process issues such as bath contamination, concentration variation, temperature deviation, dwell-time variation and consumable variation.
8. Drive CAPA implementation and verify effectiveness to prevent recurrence.
9. Maintain defect history, FA reports, evidence records and defect learning database.
Preferred candidate profile
1. 4-9 years of experience as a FACA Engineer in Manufacturing Engineering.
2. Positive understanding of manufacturing processes, materials and defect mechanisms.
3. Knowledge of glass-related defects such as cracks, chipping, scratches, stains, breakage, surface defects and contamination.
4. Basic knowledge of glass fracture analysis / fractography.
5. Exposure to chemical processes such as etching, strengthening, cleaning, polishing, slurry chemistry and surface treatment.
6. Ability to interpret chemical and material analysis reports.
7. Working knowledge of microscopes and inspection tools.
8. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability and report-writing skills.
