RPA Developer – Role Summary
Primarily responsible for the day-to-day production support, maintenance, and development of the company's robotic process automation portfolio, currently anchored on UiPath and transitioning to Microsoft Power Automate.
*Production Support (primary focus)*
- Monitor UiPath production processes and respond to failures, alerts, and business-owner escalations.
- Troubleshoot process, workplace, and infrastructure issues across bot VMs (accessed via CyberArk RDP), Orchestrator, and dependent systems (email, Excel, SharePoint, FTP, vendor endpoints).
- Diagnose credential, authentication, and connectivity issues (e.g., robot account identity, Azure Entra/OAuth, GitLab access).
- Open and manage UiPath support tickets when vendor escalation is needed.
*Process Development & Maintenance*
- Develop, enhance, and remediate UiPath automations in Studio (Windows / .NET 8 and Legacy).
- Manage source control in GitLab (branching, commits, versioning) and deploy through the standard QA-to-prod pipeline.
- Partner with business owners to gather requirements, produce SDDs and traceability documentation, and validate changes.
*Migration & Modernization*
- Support the UiPath-to-Power Automate migration effort targeting full UiPath decommission by July 2027, including rebuilding processes in Power Automate Desktop.
- Address near-term compliance drivers such as the Microsoft Basic Auth deprecation (Dec 2026), migrating affected processes to OAuth.
*Collaboration*
- Work directly with business owners, upstream/downstream system teams, and external partners.
- Contribute to team knowledge sharing, documentation, and cross-training on both existing UiPath processes and new Power Automate builds.
