Senior Automation QA Engineer

Location: Bangalore - Hybrid (Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday Work from Office)
Experience: 5 - 8 Years

JCP is hiring a Senior Automation QA Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team supporting a large-scale retail enterprise platform. If you are passionate about building scalable, high-performance applications in a modern microservices ecosystem, this opportunity is for you.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Java and Selenium
- Develop and execute automated test cases for web applications and APIs
- Perform comprehensive API testing (REST services) using tools such as Postman/Rest Assured
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines
- Participate in requirement analysis and test strategy discussions
- Collaborate closely with Development, Product, and DevOps teams
- Identify, log, and track defects through resolution
- Ensure test coverage, stability, and performance of applications
- Contribute to continuous improvement of automation frameworks

Required Technical Skills




- 5 - 8 years of experience in QA with strong focus on Automation Testing
- Hands-on experience in Java + Selenium WebDriver
- Strong experience in API Testing (REST APIs)
- Experience with automation frameworks (TestNG/JUnit/Cucumber - BDD preferred)
- Experience with build tools such as Maven/Gradle
- Experience with version control tools like Git
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies

Good to Have
- Experience in Retail / eCommerce domain
- Experience testing microservices-based architectures
- Exposure to Playwright automation framework
- Exposure to performance testing tools
- Experience working in high-traffic enterprise platforms
