Role & responsibilities
- Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB and MySQL administration in production environments.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, Cassandra, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Expertise in database installation, configuration, monitoring, backup, recovery, replication, and performance tuning.
- Robust understanding of SQL/NoSQL architectures and database frameworks.
- Good knowledge of Linux administration and networking.
- Automation and scripting experience using Python, Shell, or Perl.
- Experience supporting highly available database clusters and troubleshooting production issues.

Responsibilities:
- Architect, implement, administer, monitor, secure, and optimize MongoDB, MariaDB, and MySQL environments.
- Collaborate with Development and SRE teams to support data storage and reporting platforms.




- Manage database performance, scalability, availability, and reliability.
- Drive automation initiatives using Python and Shell scripting.
- Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation and handle critical production incidents.

Preferred candidate profile
- Experience with Elasticsearch and Redis.
- Exposure to Big Data and distributed database environments.

Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical education/work experience.
