Dotcom Growth is a full-service digital marketing agency managing growth programmes for enterprise IT services clients, SaaS products, and digital marketing brands. We are looking for a Website Development Intern to support our in-house development team with website builds, revamps, and SEO implementation tasks across active projects.

Stipend

INR 15,000 per month. Duration: 60 to 90 days with possibility of full-time conversion based on performance. Immediate joiners preferred.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Website Development Intern with hands-on working knowledge of WordPress, HTML, CSS, and PHP. This is a practical, execution-focused internship. You will work directly alongside our developer and SEO team on live website projects including builds, revamps, on-page SEO implementation, speed optimisation, and UI fixes. You will not be doing theoretical work. Every task will have a real deliverable on a live or staging site.

What You Will Do

- Build, customise, and maintain WordPress websites including theme customisation, plugin configuration, and page builder work (Elementor, Divi, or similar)
- Write and edit HTML and CSS for front-end adjustments, layout fixes, responsive design corrections, and custom styling
- Work with PHP for basic WordPress template modifications, custom functions, and plugin-level customisation
- Support the SEO team with on-page SEO implementation including meta tags, heading structure, schema markup, image optimisation, and internal linking on live pages
- Assist with website revamp projects including content migration, design updates, URL restructuring,



and redirect implementation
- Run basic website audits covering broken links, page speed issues, mobile responsiveness, and Core Web Vitals errors and fix them under supervision
- Support the development team with day-to-day website maintenance, update management, and bug fixes across client and in-house projects
- Document all work completed with explicit notes so the senior developer can review and build on it

What We Are Looking For

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, Web Development, or a related field
- Hands-on working knowledge of WordPress including theme and plugin management, not just surface-level familiarity
- Basic to intermediate HTML and CSS with the ability to write and edit code without relying entirely on drag-and-drop builders
- Basic PHP knowledge sufficient for WordPress template and functions.php level customisation
- Understanding of basic on-page SEO concepts including meta tags, heading hierarchy, image alt text, and page speed
- Ability to work on real projects with deadlines and deliver clean, functional output without constant supervision
- Eagerness to learn, take feedback, and improve output quality with each iteration

Good to Have

- Familiarity with Elementor, Divi, or WPBakery page builders
- Basic understanding of WordPress SEO plugins (Yoast, Rank Math)
- Exposure to cPanel, FTP, and basic hosting management
- Any prior freelance or project-based web development work
