About Hlty BeingsWe're an early-stage preventive-health venture for children; building at the intersection of education, and everyday wellbeing. We're currently a small, design-obsessed team testing how health content can live on the web without feeling like a hospital brochure.

The RoleThis is an on-site internship role located in Bengaluru for a Web Design & App Dev Intern (Build & Ship Microsites, PWAs & Web Apps). As an intern, your primary responsibilities will involve designing and developing user-friendly and responsive microsites, progressive web apps (PWAs), and functional web applications.

You won't be polishing a corporate homepage. You'll be designing AND shipping a fleet of small, weird, wonderful microsites and lightweight web apps—experimental playgrounds where we test narratives, interactions, and formats before they become products.

This is a build role, not just a mockup role. We need someone who can move from Figma frames to live URLs and installable apps.

What You'll Actually Do

- Design and launch multiple microsites (single-page experiments, campaign landers, interactive explainers)—specifically including web-based flipbooks, long-scroll editorial stories, branching "choose your own adventure" web experiences, and mobile-optimized digital comic readers
- Build and ship a Progressive Web App (PWA) and a dedicated web app—handling service workers, offline functionality, responsive layouts, and native-like UX (install prompts, push notifications, app-shell architecture)
- Own the full arc: wireframe → high-fidelity → published site or app (Webflow, Framer, Vercel, clean HTML/CSS, or lightweight frameworks)

- Research and create printable PDF templates (for workbooks, editorial layouts, and research reports) and visual message templates (for WhatsApp Business API flows) that extend our web aesthetic to print and chat-based touchpoints
- Translate loose concepts (e.g., "What if sugar had a wanted poster?") into responsive, typographically sharp web experiences and app interfaces
- Iterate rapid: ship a version by Tuesday, break it by Wednesday, rebuild by Friday by building and prototyping websites and apps using vibe-coding workflows—combining design intuition, rapid experimentation, and lightweight code (AI-assisted where useful) to quickly translate ideas into expressive, functional web experiences
- Collaborate with our content and illustration teams to make health information feel like entertainment

Must-Haves (Non-Negotiable)
- Figma fluency: You organize components, auto-layout, and variables in your sleep
- Hand-coded HTML/CSS expertise (must)
- PWA fundamentals: You understand service workers, the web app manifest, caching strategies, and how to make a site feel like a native app on mobile
- JavaScript proficiency: You can write functional JS (vanilla or a lightweight framework) to handle app logic, state, and interactivity—not just jQuery plugins
- You can ship: Working knowledge of Webflow, Framer, and hand-coded HTML/CSS/JS—enough to publish functional, responsive sites and apps without a developer holding your hand

- Visual systems thinking: Grid, type hierarchy, and color theory are instinctive, not theoretical
- Portfolio that shows live links, working prototypes, or installable apps (Dribbble shots alone don't count here)

Bonus Points
- You bookmark experimental sites on Awwwards or Hoverstat.es for fun
- You've broken (and fixed) CSS grids intentionally
- You've built a PWA before or published a web app to the Play Store/App Store via a wrapper
- Interest in narrative UX, scrollytelling, or "edu-tainment" interfaces
- Experience with digital publishing (flipbooks, editorial web layouts) or conversational UI (WhatsApp templates)
- Any motion/interaction work (After Effects, Lottie, GSAP curiosity)
- Familiarity with a lightweight JS framework (React, Vue, Svelte) or a no-code app builder that exports clean code

What You'll Get
- Real URLs and installable apps for your portfolio—not hypothetical case studies
- Direct mentorship from a founder who treats design as strategy
- License to break patterns: If you want to make a vertical-scrolling comic, a site that only works at 2 AM, or a PWA that gamifies brushing teeth, pitch it
- Exposure to our full stack: Shopify Lite, workshop IPs, and the Child Aid Box product line

To ApplySend a brief email to [email protected] with:
- Your portfolio (include at least two live website links or app demos you built or significantly contributed to)
- One sentence on a PWA or web app you wish existed for kids' health
- One sentence on the most annoying web design convention you'd love to kill
- Your Figma handle (we'll look at your file organization)

No cover letters. No "Dear Sir/Madam." Just work that proves you can think in browsers and build apps that live on home screens.
