Job Title: WAN L3 Engineer

Role Type: Full-time (Customer Site)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled L3 Routing & Switching Engineer to provide onsite technical expertise for our enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for complex troubleshooting, large-scale network migrations, and the implementation of robust network solutions. You will serve as the primary point of escalation for network-related issues and work closely with the customer’s internal teams to ensure high availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Advanced Troubleshooting: Act as the L3 escalation point for complex routing, switching, and connectivity issues. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.

Routing Optimization: Manage and optimize complex BGP and static routing environments to ensure efficient traffic flow and redundancy.

Infrastructure Maintenance: Perform routine health checks, firmware upgrades, and configuration audits on core network devices.

Documentation: Maintain accurate network diagrams, configuration documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Collaboration: Work alongside security and data center teams to integrate firewall policies and ACI fabric configurations.

Technical Requirements (Must-Haves):

Routing Protocols: Deep expertise in BGP (multi-homing, path manipulation) and advanced static routing configurations.

Switching: Strong understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 switching, including VLANs, STP, Port-channels, and HSRP/VRRP.

Migration Experience:



Proven track record in executing large-scale network migrations with minimal downtime.

Troubleshooting: Proficiency in using packet capture tools (Wireshark/TCP Dump) and CLI-based diagnostic commands.

Experience: 7+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years in a customer-facing or L3 support role.

Preferred Skills (Good-to-Have)

Cisco ACI: Experience with Application Centric Infrastructure (APIC, EPGs, Contracts, Tenant management).

Firewall Management: Hands-on experience with Next-Generation Firewalls (e.g., Cisco FTD, Palo Alto, or Fortinet).

Automation: Basic knowledge of Python or Ansible for network task automation.

Certifications: CCNP/CCIE (Enterprise or Data Center) is highly preferred.

Soft Skills

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Solid analytical and critical thinking skills.

Ability to work under pressure during critical outages or maintenance windows.

JD :- Security Engineer L3

:

- 7-10 years of domain experience with exposure on firewalls deployment & management &

troubleshooting in network security.
- Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) and Security (CCNP) skillsets.
- Experience in deploying Cisco FMC and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense.
- Client facing experience with the ability to be onsite 5 days/week at the customer location.
- Prior experience in DC migration projects will be preferred on priority.
- Must have cross functional collaboration experience with internal and customer team.
