Company Description Aashraya is a social impact initiative under PANHA that brings together individuals who want to create meaningful change through kindness and community action. The initiative partners with old age homes, orphanages, underserved communities, women’s safety initiatives, LGBTQ+ communities, and animal welfare organizations. Aashraya focuses not only on volunteering, but also on listening, showing care, and reminding people they are not alone.

Volunteers can participate in visits, conversations, and social impact projects that create real, visible change. The community offers a space to connect with purpose-driven people and become a positive force in someone’s life.

Role Description This is a remote volunteer role with Aashraya, where volunteers support social impact activities and community initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities may include coordinating with partner organizations, joining virtual meetings or check-ins, and helping plan and promote events or campaigns. Volunteers may engage in outreach, create awareness materials, offer emotional support through online interactions, and help identify needs within communities served by Aashraya.

Depending on interest and availability,



volunteers can also contribute to project leadership, collaboration with other volunteers, and documenting impact stories. The role is designed to be flexible, allowing volunteers to contribute time and skills while maintaining other personal or professional commitments.

Qualifications

- Strong interpersonal skills, including empathy, active listening, and respectful communication with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Interest in social impact, community service, and supporting groups such as older adults, children, underserved communities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and animal welfare initiatives.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting, including reliability in attending virtual meetings and completing agreed tasks.
- Basic organizational and time-management skills to help coordinate activities, follow up on commitments, and contribute to project planning.
- Comfort using digital tools (e.g., messaging apps, video calls, social media) to communicate, organize, and amplify Aashraya’s initiatives.
- Openness to learning, receiving feedback, and engaging with people in a non-judgmental, inclusive, and gender-neutral manner.
- Prior volunteer or community work experience is welcome but not required; passion for kindness and willingness to show up are most significant.
