Who we want:

Adobe Premiere Pro: The most common "all-rounder" for digital content and commercials.

DaVinci Resolve: The gold standard for Color Grading and increasingly popular for full-suite editing.

Adobe After Effects: Essential for motion graphics, titles, and basic visual effects (VFX).

Final Cut Pro: Favored by many macOS-based creators for its speed and magnetic timeline.

2. Creative & Narrative Skills

Tools are just the hammer; these skills are the architecture:

Storytelling:



Understanding the "arc" of a video—knowing when to build tension and when to provide a resolution.

Pacing and Rhythm: Editing is often compared to music. An editor must know how to cut to the beat or create a "flow" that keeps the viewer engaged without fatigue.

Color Theory: Beyond just making a shot look "correct", color grading sets the mood (e.g., warm tones for nostalgia, cool tones for a corporate/tech feel).

Sound Design: A secret of the industry is that audio is 50% of the video. This includes balancing dialogue, adding Foley (sound effects), and choosing the right background music.

3. Workflow & Technical Knowledge

Media Management: Organizing thousands of clips, proxies, and assets so the project doesn't become a nightmare to navigate.

Codecs and Exporting: Understanding the difference between a high-res master file and a compressed version for Instagram, YouTube, or LinkedIn.

Typography: The ability to choose and animate fonts that look skilled and are easy to read.

Junior Video Editor(fresher) should be a freelancer/done some freelance work.

Junior Video Editor needs to bring their own device if selected.

Senior Video Editor will be provided the device.
