Role Description The Video Editor role at Modern Day is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad.

The Video

Editor will work closely with creative and production teams to edit raw footage into polished video content for digital, social, and broadcast platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include organizing and assembling footage, applying transitions and effects, refining audio, and ensuring visual consistency with brand guidelines. The role also involves collaborating on motion graphics and basic visual design elements, performing colour grading to achieve the desired look and feel, and preparing final deliverables in required formats.

Editor is expected to manage multiple projects,



meet deadlines, and contribute creative ideas that elevate the overall quality of Modern Day’s media output.

Qualifications

- A strong portfolio or a showreel showcasing previous work is essential. We’re looking for 2–3 years of experience, but if you have fewer years of experience and a diverse, impressive portfolio, we’d still love to consider you.
- Strong video editing and storytelling skills, with an impressive sense of pace and flow.
- A good understanding of footage and the ability to identify the right moments and details.
- A sharp eye for attention to detail and visual consistency.
- Strong knowledge of colour grading, motion graphics, titles, and visual enhancements.
- Proficiency in tools like Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar softwares.
- Understanding of different formats and aspect ratios, especially for digital and social media.
- Ability to work quickly, manage timelines, and collaborate effectively with a team.
