Kozhikode

As Interval Group scales across its subsidiaries, we are looking for a VP of Sales to build and lead a unified, high-performing sales engine across the Group. This is not a single-product sales role — it is a portfolio leadership role responsible for driving revenue across distinct businesses and buying motions: high-touch B2C counselling-led sales (Learning), parenting-focused B2C Retail , D2C , and B2B2C sales (Magic Lamps), and B2C plus strategic B2B partnership sales (SkillX, including its upcoming assessment and upskilling suite). The person in this role will set sales strategy, standardize process and reporting, build and mentor divisional sales leadership, and own the Group’s overall revenue outcomes while working closely with IHDS’s research to keep targeting, positioning and pricing grounded in real customer insight.

Key Responsibilities

1. Group Sales Strategy & Revenue Ownership

- Own the Group’s consolidated sales targets and revenue growth plan across all subsidiaries.
- Design a sales strategy tailored to each business’s buying motion — high-touch B2C (Learning), parenting-led B2C/D2C/B2B2C (Magic Lamps), and B2C + strategic B2B partnerships (SkillX).
- Prioritize where to invest sales capacity across subsidiaries based on market opportunity, margin and strategic fit.
- Build annual and quarterly sales budgets, forecasts and territory/vertical plans in partnership with subsidiary leadership and Finance.

2. Building & Leading Sales Teams

- Recruit, coach and manage divisional sales leaders across the subsidiaries; build a bench of high-performing sales/counselling managers under them.
- Set a consistent playbook for pipeline management, counselling/consultative selling, objection handling, negotiation and closing — adapted to each subsidiary’s customer.
- Drive a robust ownership and accountability culture, with clear qualitative and quantitative targets cascaded down to individual contributors.

- Personally engage in key/high-value customer and strategic partner conversations where needed.

3. Process, Systems & Reporting

- Standardize CRM usage, funnel stages, and sales reporting across all subsidiaries so leadership has one consistent view of pipeline health and conversion.
- Track sales dashboards, forecasts and funnel metrics across businesses to identify gaps and course-correct quickly.
- Put in place commercial governance — pricing discipline, discounting guardrails, contract/agreement standards — across the Group.

4. Interval Learning — Tuition & Course Sales

- Strengthen the consultative, counselling-led sales motion for 1:1 and small-group tuition and original courses, focused on assessment to enrollment & trial-to-enrolment conversion and retention-linked upsell.

5. Magic Lamps — Parenting Partner Sales

- Build the B2C & D2C sales motion for parenting-led services and kids’ products, and explore B2B2C channels (schools, communities, healthcare/parenting touchpoints) to expand reach.

6. SkillX — Career Partner Sales & Strategic Partnerships

- Lead direct and partner-led sales for SkillX’s courses, and build the go-to-market for its upcoming suite of career assessment, simulation, replacement-risk and upskilling-identification tools. • Develop and manage strategic B2B partnerships (institutions, corporates, career ecosystem players) that extend SkillX’s reach.

7. School Amzone - School Sales & Strategic Partnerships

•Build and lead the B2B sales motion for School Amzone’s school-focused solutions, covering prospecting, institutional engagement, solution pitching,

onboarding and revenue growth.

- Develop strategic partnerships with schools, education networks and institutional stakeholders to expand market reach, strengthen adoption and create scalable school-led growth channels.

8. Cross-Functional & Group Alignment

- Work closely with IHDS to translate research on learner, parent and career pathways into sharper ideal-customer-profile targeting, messaging and pricing across subsidiaries.
- Partner with Marketing, Product, Operations and Customer Success in each subsidiary to close the loop between demand generation, sales and customer outcomes.
- Represent the Group’s sales function to founders/leadership with clear, data-backed reviews of performance, risks and opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 7-10+ years in sales leadership, with a track record of owning revenue across more than one product line, vertical, or business unit.

• B2C strength: Proven ability to build and scale high-touch, counselling-led B2C sales teams (education, EdTech, D2C, or comparable consumer categories).

• B2B/partnerships exposure: Experience building or managing strategic B2B or channel-partner relationships, ideally in education, skilling, or related sectors.

• Team building: Demonstrated success hiring, coaching and scaling sales/counselling teams and their managers, with strong people leadership.

• Commercial rigor: Comfortable owning budgets, forecasts, pricing and CRM-driven funnel management; data-first approach to decision-making.

• Multi-business mindset: Ability to operate across genuinely different businesses and customer segments at once, without losing focus or accountability on any one.

• Education: Graduate; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.

• Other: Strong communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills; willingness to travel as required.
