Background of The Hans Foundation The Hans Foundation (THF), established in 2009, is a Public Charitable Trust that works towards creating an equitable society to enhance quality of life for all through the empowerment of marginalized and underprivileged communities in India.

Foundation works for the Health and Wellbeing of remote and under-served groups, with an additional focus on children, persons with disabilities and women. THF also works for holistic Education and Livelihood development of our communities. Our Two-Fold Strategy involves identifying and working within Aspirational Districts and high poverty index in the North, North-East and East regions within specific states, as well as catering to lower-income and migratory populations in cities, through urban programs.

Over its 15 years of existence, THF has reached more than 57 million beneficiaries through its programs. THF works with communities through direct implementation of projects on the ground in addition to providing local management and monitoring support to not-for-profit organisations in India funded through THF USA and RIST.

About the Role The Beauty &

- Wellness Trainer will be responsible for delivering high-quality classroom and practical training to youth enrolled under The Hans Foundation Livelihood Skills Training Programme. The trainer will impart industry-relevant technical knowledge and practical skills in Beauty &
- Wellness while developing trainees' communication, professional grooming, customer service, entrepreneurship, and employability skills.

The trainer will prepare candidates for assessment, certification, and placement opportunities in salons, wellness centres, spas, beauty clinics, and self-employment ventures.

Duties &

- Responsibilities

- Deliver theory and practical training sessions in Beauty &
- Wellness as per the approved curriculum and training schedule.

- Demonstrate qualified techniques in hair care, skin care, makeup, manicure, pedicure, nail care, waxing, threading, and salon operations.

- Ensure competency-based learning aligned with NSDC/BWSSC standards and industry requirements.

- Maintain high standards of hygiene, sanitation, workplace safety, and equipment handling during practical sessions.

- Conduct structured induction programmes for current trainee batches.





- Prepare lesson plans, session plans, training materials, practical demonstrations, and assessment tools.

- Conduct regular practical assessments, assignments, mock assessments, and internal evaluations.

- Prepare trainees for Sector Skill Council assessments and certification.

- Maintain attendance records, trainee portfolios, lesson plans, assessment records, and progress reports.

- Ensure quality training delivery in accordance with project guidelines and donor requirements.

- Integrate employability skills including communication, English, digital literacy, customer service, workplace ethics, and qualified grooming.

- Guide trainees on career opportunities, entrepreneurship, and self-employment within the Beauty &

- Wellness sector.

- Coordinate with Centre Coordinator and Placement Team for industry visits, guest lectures, on-the-job exposure, and placement activities.

- Build and maintain relationships with salons, beauty clinics, wellness centres, spas, and industry partners.

- Mentor and counsel trainees to improve attendance, retention, confidence, and career readiness.

- Participate in community mobilization, awareness programmes, counselling sessions, and learner selection activities.

- Ensure proper utilization, maintenance, and inventory of beauty equipment, tools, consumables, and training resources.

- Submit training reports, MIS, and documentation within prescribed timelines.

- Demonstrate professionalism, ethical conduct, and serve as a positive role model for trainees.

Other Indicative Requirements

Educational Qualifications

- Diploma/Advanced Diploma/Certificate in Beauty &
- Wellness, Cosmetology, Hair Dressing, Makeup, or a related discipline from a recognized institute (Mandatory).

- Certification from Beauty &

- Wellness Sector Skill Council (BWSSC) or equivalent certification will be preferred.

- Bachelor's degree in any discipline will be an added advantage.

Functional / Technical Skills and Relevant Experience &

- Other Requirements (Behavioural, Language, Certifications etc.)

- Minimum 2-3 years of practical industry experience in Beauty &
- Wellness,



Salon Operations, Spa, Hair Care, Skin Care, or Makeup.

- Minimum 1 year of experience in vocational training, classroom instruction, or skill development programmes preferred.

- Experience in Government, CSR, NSDC, PMKVY, DDU-GKY, or Skill India projects will be an advantage.

- Basic computer literacy is mandatory.

- Training of Trainers (ToT) Certification from BWSSC or a recognized institution preferred.

- Experience working in NSDC/Skill India-aligned training centres preferred.

- Exposure to competency-based training methodologies and learner assessment processes.

- Experience in placement-linked skill development programmes.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills in Hindi and basic English.

- Computer proficiency in MS Office, email, and online reporting systems.
