Job Description: Assistant Manager Compensation & Benefits

Role Purpose

To independently manage monthly payroll, statutory compliance, income tax/TDS, Compensation & Benefits, salary benchmarking, job grading, and offer processing with accuracy, confidentiality, and timely execution.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end monthly payroll, including attendance, leave, overtime, incentives, deductions, F&F;, arrears, and salary revisions.
- Ensure timely statutory compliance covering PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Gratuity, Bonus, and other applicable regulations.
- Manage income tax/TDS, tax calculations, investment declarations, proofs, Form 16, and employee tax queries.
- Conduct salary benchmarking and support annual increments, promotions, bonuses, and compensation reviews.
- Develop and maintain salary grades, bands, CTC structures, and compensation frameworks.
- Support job evaluation and grading and ensure internal pay parity and consistency.




- Manage offer/CTC processing for recent hires, ensuring alignment with grade, budget, internal parity, and market benchmarks.
- Prepare payroll, compensation, manpower cost, and benefits MIS and analytics.
- Manage employee benefits including insurance, gratuity, allowances, and reimbursements.
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, Talent Acquisition, business teams, and external consultants/vendors.
- Handle employee queries related to payroll, taxation, compensation, and benefits.
- Support payroll/statutory audits and maintain confidentiality of employee compensation data.

Candidate Profile
- Graduate in Commerce, Finance, HR, or related discipline; MBA/PGDM preferred.
- 610 years of experience in Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, or HR Operations.
- Strong hands-on experience in payroll, statutory compliance, income tax/TDS, salary benchmarking, grading, and offer processing.
- Manufacturing/chemical/pharma/engineering industry
