About the Role

We're hiring a Technical Support Fresher to join our technical team. You'll help monitor and maintain Linux-based servers, troubleshoot website and hosting issues, manage DNS and SSL configurations, and support day-to-day technical requests from clients and internal teams. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with basic knowledge of Linux, networking, and web hosting who is eager to learn and grow into a stronger technical role.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in managing and maintaining Linux-based servers
- Monitor server health: performance, disk space, memory, CPU, and uptime
- Troubleshoot server, website, hosting, and connectivity issues
- Handle basic DNS configuration and troubleshooting (A, CNAME, MX, TXT, NS records)
- Support domain, SSL certificate, and HTTPS-related issues
- Assist with website and application deployments and routine maintenance
- Manage server access via SSH/PuTTY and file transfers via SFTP/FTP
- Perform basic server log analysis to identify common errors
- Support routine backups and restorations
- Carry out basic security checks and follow server security best practices
- Troubleshoot common HTTP/HTTPS errors (404, 403, 500, 502)
- Assist with basic email troubleshooting (SMTP, IMAP, POP3)
- Manage technical support tickets and resolve issues within defined timelines
- Document issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions clearly




- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers when needed
- Communicate clearly with clients and users on technical matters
- Follow established monitoring, backup, security, and escalation procedures

Good to Have

- Basic Apache/Nginx configuration knowledge
- Familiarity with MySQL/MariaDB
- Basic understanding of PHP and WordPress
- Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms
- Basic Bash or Python scripting
- Understanding of Git and deployment basics
- Awareness of server security practices and monitoring tools

Requirements:

- Linux Basic understanding of Linux OS and common commands (ls, cd, cp, mv, rm, cat, grep, find, tail, chmod, chown)
- Familiarity with file permissions, users, groups, and checking system resource usage.
- Networking Understanding of IP addresses, ports, and TCP/IP basics.
- Familiarity with common ports (22, 25, 53, 80, 443, 587, 110, 143) and tools like ping, traceroute, nslookup, dig, and curl.
- DNS Working knowledge of A, CNAME, MX, TXT, and NS records, along with basic DNS troubleshooting and propagation concepts.
- Web & Hosting Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, basic awareness of Apache or Nginx, and SSL/TLS fundamentals.
- Familiarity with FTP/SFTP and SSH. Experience with hosting panels like cPanel, Plesk, or RunCloud is a plus.
- Technical Support Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate issues methodically.
- Positive written and verbal communication.
- Comfortable working with support tickets and escalation workflows.
- Genuine willingness to learn new technologies.
- Degree, diploma, or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or a related field (preferred) Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking
- Familiarity with helpdesk or ticketing systems
- Clear communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- Strong problem-solving ability with attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team and manage time in a fast-paced workplace
