Job Title: Control-M Technical Lead – Legacy Upgrade (Remote, Offshore)

We're hiring a Control-M Technical Lead to join a legacy Control-M v8 upgrade programme for a large financial services enterprise client based in Dublin, Ireland. This is a fully remote, offshore opportunity requiring deep hands-on Control-M expertise combined with technical leadership across a multi-vendor upgrade programme, operating within a highly regulated banking environment.

Role Overview

Acting as the primary Control-M subject matter expert, you'll lead technical assessment, upgrade strategy, and delivery oversight across the Control-M estate — working closely with infrastructure delivery partners, application teams, and Control-M vendor resources. This is a lead/SME role rather than a pure administration position — you'll be expected to assess, design, validate, and drive decisions, not just execute day-to-day scheduling tasks.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead technical assessment of the existing Control-M v8 workplace (Enterprise Manager, Servers, Agents, integrations, scheduling estate)




- Define upgrade strategy and provide technical leadership through the full upgrade lifecycle
- Assess Control-M Agents estate-wide, identify remediation needs, and coordinate agent upgrades with application/infra teams
- Act as primary Control-M SME across the project, guiding vendors, application owners, and stakeholders
- Review and validate solution designs, migration approaches, and technical documentation
- Define and support SIT, OAT, DR, and production readiness testing
- Lead technical issue resolution during migration and go-live
- Own key deliverables: Current State Assessment, Upgrade Impact Assessment, Agent Remediation Plan, Technical Design, Test Strategy, Cutover Plan
- Support change governance, cutover planning, and post-go-live stabilisation

Essential Experience

- 5–7 years' hands-on experience administering and supporting BMC Control-M environments
- Proven experience delivering Control-M upgrade or migration projects
- Strong knowledge of Control-M Agents, scheduling policies/calendars, batch workload management, alerting and monitoring
- Experience conducting technical discovery/assessment activities
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Experience working within highly regulated enterprise environments
- Strong documentation, audit support, and multi-team coordination skills
