Role:AIX Admin

Required Technical Skill Set**AIX

Good to have Technical Skill Set: IBM 6.1, 7.1 VIO, LPAR, DLPAR LVM, HACMP , NFS, NIM, mksysb.Unix

4-8 yrs

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have**

(Ideally should not be more than 3-5)

Should have Valuable Knowledge on AIX Logical Volume Manger, HACMP Cluster Administration Basics, Configuring and managing VIO Servers, LPAR and DLPAR operations.

Should work in 24*7 support

Good-to-Have

IBM 6.1, 7.1 VIO, LPAR, DLPAR LVM, HACMP , NFS, NIM, mksysb, HMC Unix

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

Performance monitoring using vmstat,



iostat, sar, topas, netstat and nmon and analyzing these reports to figure out any performance issues.

Should have Experience in ML, TL update and APAR, fix installation, and patch update on AIX and devices on requirements basis and on customer specifications.

Should have a Knowledge to do Capacity planning on all servers to increase/decrease the resources

Should have knowledge to generate the NMON and skills to analyse the reports

Should adhere to the SLA and Work on Incident and Change Management
