Job Summary:
Hartree Partners is looking for a Technical Accounting Senior Analyst to join our team. This position will be responsible for assisƟng in the preparation of bank financials,
performing financial statement analysis, and researching accounting standards and drafting technical accounting memos regarding complex transactions. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized individual with strong attention to detail and a sound understanding of US GAAP,
IFRS, and financial reporting concepts.
Position Type: Full time, onsite. No hybrid work option / 5-day work from Office
Direct Reporting: HGSI Local Leadership team, Hyderabad
Functional Reporting Manager: Global Deputy Controller
Shift time (with flexibility to support other regions): UK Shift / 2 pm to 11 pm IST
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of company-wide accounting policies
- Responsible for research, analysis and documentation associated with technical accounting matters
- Provide accounting guidance for complex transactions
- Preparation of internal financial statement analyses and development of new analyses in response to inquiries from Senior Management and other stakeholders
- Assist in the preparation of monthly bank financial statements
- Monitor, interpret and implement new and emerging accounting standards
- Assist in the financial reporting process, including drafting financial statements and disclosures, and ensuring supporting schedules are accurate
- Participate in special projects as they may arise
- Collaborate closely with the various stakeholders, both internal and external, of Hartree
Job Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (ICAI),
Cost and Management Accountant (ICMAI), or another equivalent professional accounting qualification such as CPA/CIMA is essential.
- Minimum 4–6 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in preparing and writing accounting memos is essential.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP is essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, as required.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical accounting matters to non-accounting professionals and present to senior management.
- A self-starter who takes ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with a reputed multinational company or a well-established accounting firm is preferred.
- Relevant industry experience in commodity trading, energy, oil and gas is preferred.
- Experience with NetSuite is preferred.
