We’re looking for a creative YouTube Video Editor who understands that great editing is ultimately about storytelling.

The channel, Ask House of Tarot, will explore tarot, spirituality, real-life experiences, conversations, observations, humour, self-discovery and everyday stories — with a fun, quirky and whimsical personality.

We’re looking for someone who can take raw footage and turn it into a story that people actually want to keep watching.

This isn’t just about making clean cuts. We want an editor who understands pacing, emotion, humour, personality and viewer attention and knows when to let a moment breathe and when to make it more dynamic.

What You’ll Be Editing

YouTube Long-Form Videos

● Approximately 6–10 minutes per video

● Around 4 videos per week

● Storytelling-driven edits with strong pacing

● Engaging hooks and openings

● Clean cuts that remove unnecessary pauses and repetition

● Creating a natural flow between different parts of a story or conversation

● Captions and text overlays

● Background music that complements the mood





● Sound effects where appropriate

● Memes, GIFs, reaction clips and visual references

● Zooms, punch-ins and creative cuts

● B-roll and visual elements when practical

● Highlighting funny, emotional, surprising or important moments

● Keeping the video engaging without making the editing feel forced

YouTube Shorts

● Approximately 20–30 seconds

● Strong hooks and quick storytelling

● Captions/subtitles

● Fast, engaging cuts

● Music and sound effects

● Memes/reactions/visual elements where appropriate

● Edited specifically for short-form attention and retention
