General Manager – India | Service, Maintenance, Business Development & Operations

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced
General Manager – India
to lead and grow the company's India operations for
industrial machinery, equipment and special-purpose vehicles
, with a solid focus on the
Aluminium and Steel Industries
.

The role will have overall responsibility for
Service & Maintenance, Business Development, Key Account Management, P&L;, day-to-day Operations and Administration
.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
Aluminium or Steel plants, Smelters, Casthouses, Steel Plants or related heavy industrial operations
, combined with experience in servicing industrial equipment, special-purpose vehicles or heavy machinery.

Key Responsibilities

Service & Maintenance
- Lead overall
service, maintenance, repair, overhaul and refurbishment
activities in India.
- Manage field-service engineers, technicians, workshops and service teams.
- Ensure high equipment availability, reliability and customer uptime.
- Provide technical leadership for




special-purpose vehicles, mechanical equipment, hydraulic systems and industrial machinery
.
- Develop preventive and corrective maintenance programmes and improve service response.

Business Development – Aluminium & Steel
- Develop and execute the company's India business-development strategy with a specific focus on the
Aluminium and Steel Industries
.
- Build relationships with
Aluminium Smelters, Casthouses, Steel Plants, Rolling Mills, Foundries and other heavy industrial customers
.
- Identify opportunities for new equipment, service contracts, aftermarket services, refurbishment, upgrades and spare parts.
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers across
Operations, Maintenance, Projects, Engineering and Procurement
.
- Track industry investments, capacity expansions, modernisation and equipment-replacement opportunities.

Key Account & Customer Management
- Manage existing strategic customer
