The Andrology Lab Technician is responsible for performing routine and advanced semen analysis, sperm preparation, and other laboratory procedures related to male fertility assessment and treatment. The role involves ensuring high-quality lab operations, maintaining accuracy in reporting, and adhering to strict quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and advanced semen analysis, sperm preparation, and other laboratory procedures related to male fertility assessment and treatment.
- Ensure high-quality lab operations, maintain accuracy in reporting, and adhere to strict quality and safety standards.
- Perform semen analysis including sperm count, motility, morphology, and vitality assessment.
- Conduct sperm preparation techniques such as sperm washing, density gradient, and swim-up methods.
- Ensure proper collection, labeling, and storage of patient samples.




- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all test results and procedures.
- Prepare and validate reports before sharing with clinicians.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterility of lab equipment and work area.
- Record observations and update laboratory logs accurately.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Manage inventory of lab supplies and report shortages.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Life Science / Microbiology / Biotechnology.
- Prior relevant experience of 1 year or more will be an added advantage.
