Role Description The Team Leader – Australian Tax Accounting is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad. This role is responsible for overseeing a team handling Australian tax compliance and accounting work, including preparation and review of tax returns, financial statements, and related reports for individual and business clients.

The Team

Leader will allocate and monitor workloads, ensure adherence to Australian tax laws and accounting standards, and maintain quality control over deliverables. Daily activities include guiding team members on complex technical issues, reviewing work for accuracy and completeness, coordinating with client managers to clarify requirements, and ensuring deadlines and service level commitments are met. The role also involves training team members, implementing process improvements, and contributing to documentation and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

- Strong accounting and finance knowledge, with practical experience in Accounting and Finance relevant to Australian tax and compliance.
- Proficiency in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including preparation, review, and interpretation of statements for various entity types.




- Well-developed Analytical Skills to assess financial data, identify issues or trends, and propose accurate and compliant solutions.
- Experience in Australian tax accounting, including individual and business tax returns, BAS, GST, and related compliance (or strong willingness to specialize in this domain).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (CA, CPA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Proven experience leading or supervising an accounting or tax team, with the ability to manage workloads and mentor team members.
- Robust attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work to strict deadlines in a high-volume environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with international clients and internal stakeholders.
- Comfort with accounting and tax software, workpaper management tools, and MS Office (especially Excel).
