LOCATION: Bangalore, India THE ROLE:
IGEL is building and scaling its presence in India and we are looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Partner to be based in South Bangalore.
This role requires strong knowledge of the Bangalore technology talent market and a proven ability to attract and close high-calibre candidates in a competitive environment. As IGEL’s primary in-country recruiting partner, you will own the full recruitment lifecycle, build sustainable talent pipelines and help establish scalable local recruiting practices.
You will report to the Director, HR Operations and Global Recruitment and join a global team primarily based in EMEA. You will partner closely with India leadership, hiring managers and People Team colleagues. To succeed in this role, you will bring hands-on technical recruiting expertise, confident stakeholder-management skills and the ability to operate independently and provide market-informed guidance in a fast-paced growth workplace.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Apply and continuously deepen your knowledge of the local India and Bangalore talent market, including competitor hiring trends, compensation expectations, and candidate motivations.
- Attract, engage, and close active and passive candidates in a competitive technology talent market through creative sourcing and compelling candidate storytelling.
- Partner with hiring managers and functional leaders to develop and deliver local talent acquisition strategies aligned with IGEL’s global approach, providing market-informed guidance and constructive challenge as needed. Own the full lifecycle recruitment, develop and execute multi-channel sourcing strategies , and deliver a consistent high-quality candidate experience.
- Ensure internal applications and employee referrals are handled fairly and consistently in line with company policies and program guidelines.
- Proactively build and maintain robust talent pipelines for critical and future roles, anticipating growth needs rather than reacting to vacancies.
- Build and apply a strong understanding of each role required skills and competencies to identify and engage qualified candidates, while ensuring compliance with applicable Indian employment, data protection and recruitment requirements throughout the hiring lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate and timely candidate records in the ATS and provide regular recruitment reporting against agreed KPIs and SLAs.
- Support Workforce Planning for India by partnering with the India People Business Partner and business leaders to translate future workforce needs into transparent hiring priorities
- Collaborate with Global People Team colleagues to attract and hire diverse qualified talent aligned with business needs. Own the development and execution of employer branding initiatives that strengthen IGEL’s position as an employer of choice in India.
- Build relationships with relevant universities and technical institutions to develop sustainable pipelines of high-calibre graduate talent. Identify and represent IGEL at relevant recruiting events, career fairs and community forums, while building and maintaining a strong external talent network. Initiate background checks for candidates prior to final offer.
- Stay informed of talent trends and participate in projects that further talent acquisition capabilities enhance the employee experience.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor's degree or an equivalent of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum 6 years of full-cycle talent acquisition experience, with demonstrable success hiring technology roles in the India / Bangalore market.
- Strong experience using and optimizing ATS platforms, job boards (LinkedIn, Xing,
Stepstone, Indeed) and social media to proactively identify and engage relevant candidates.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing employer-branding initiatives, ideally in a new or growing market.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
